River Epperson is a writer, director, actor, and filmmaker from Haubstadt, Indiana. they are a 2024 graduate of Indiana University, where he studied theatre, film production, and creative writing. Professional theatre credits include The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me (Assistant Director) with Three Crows Theatre Company. Select IU Theatre credits include Orlando (Archduke/Archduchess/Chorus), Fun Home (Intimacy Coordinator), and 1970s College Sex Comedy (Assistant Director).

Writing credits include Lucy (short film, dir. Epperson), Old Habits Die Hard (Working Title Magazine, At First Sight New Works Festival), and a feature-length screenplay about Wisconsin's largest pumpkin. Film credits include Lucy (Writer/Director) and In A Pickle… (Writer/Director). River is a staff Music Writer for Sound Stage Magazine and writes for their own cultural criticism blog, Please Stop Talking!

Other film credits include a music video for Chicago musician ktwheels’ debut single “Bruised Up,” as well as other promotional photo and video content. River shoots on digital and motion picture film using Super 8mm. Later this spring, he will be touring across the Midwest and East Coast, shooting photo and video for ktwheels.

They are the creator, producer, writer, and host of the show Please Stop Talking! on WIUX 99.1 FM, where they interviewed the band Prairie Scout and the national touring act Six Foot Blonde, among numerous other guests. Please Stop Talking is now run as an independent music criticism platform on their Substack.
